Saved me a FORTUNE!
I have 2 maltese dogs who tend to get matted hair. I like to cut their hair about 3/4 to an inch in length and was using a cheap 20.00 clipper set.

pretty good clippers
These clippers do the job pretty well. The #10 blade cuts so easily. It is kind of loud though. My dog was a little freaked out by it.
